Recent Work
I am currently exploring alternative heart failure therapies by vector-mediated transfer of genes involved in cell cycle control. I am interested in dissecting the mechanisms involved in cardiac as well as skeletal muscle regeneration. Previously, I studied megakaryocytopoiesis and the role of microtubule-regulatory protein stathmin in this process and analyzed the mechanism by which Panobinostat (LBH589), a histone deacetylase inhibitor, causes thrombocytopenia.
